Stainless steel large diameter welded round pipe is a hollow cylindrical product made by forming a flat stainless steel plate or coil into a circular shape and welding the longitudinal seam. "Large diameter" typically refers to pipes with an outer diameter exceeding 300 mm, with common sizes ranging from 300 mm to 2,500 mm or larger.
Large diameter welded round pipes offer a cost-effective alternative to seamless pipes, especially for big projects. They provide excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, and a wide range of available sizes. They can also be customized in length, with standard sections up to 12 meters.
The production begins with a stainless steel coil that is unwound, leveled, and trimmed to the required width. The flat strip is then progressively bent into a cylindrical shape using a series of forming rollers. Zhaotai offers multiple welding processes to meet customer needs, including submerged arc welding, laser welding, plasma welding, and manual welding.
After welding, the pipe passes through sizing rollers to achieve precise diameter and straightness. It may then undergo heat treatment to restore corrosion resistance and relieve welding stresses. Finally, the pipe is inspected using non-destructive testing methods, cut to length, and finished as required.

Stainless steel can be magnetic depending on its internal structure. Austenitic grades like 304 and 316 are normally non-magnetic, but ferritic (430) and martensitic (410) grades are magnetic due to their different crystal structure. Even 304 or 316 may become slightly magnetic after cold working such as bending or stamping, which transforms some austenite into martensite. Therefore, magnetism does not indicate quality — it simply reflects the steel's microstructure and processing history.
For standard materials and sizes held in stock, delivery is guaranteed within 3 days of payment receipt. For products requiring custom dimensions or surface finishes, the lead time is 7 to 15 working days after payment confirmation. Specific delivery schedules should be confirmed with customer service at the time of order placement.

Applicable product standards must be specified at the time of order. For projects with specific technical requirements, please provide detailed parameters, tolerance ranges, and other relevant specifications. A dedicated quality inspection department oversees all stages of production to ensure full compliance. Upon completion, accurate measurements, inspection images, video documentation, and material test reports are provided for customer confirmation.

Custom markings on outer packaging are available upon request at no additional cost. Once the marking design is approved, it will be affixed using waterproof tape. If no specific marking is requested, packaging will be shipped without markings by default.
Material grade, dimensions, and other identifying information may be spray-marked directly onto the steel plate surface upon request. For applicable charges, please consult your sales representative.
Standard wooden pallet packaging is provided at no extra cost, with a loading capacity of 1 to 3 tons per pallet. Alternative packaging options, such as iron pallets, are available upon request. Please contact your sales representative for details — bulk orders qualify for preferential pricing.
