On January 15th, Zhaotai Stainless Steel participated in a business delegation organized by the Jiangsu Chamber of Commerce in Zibo, visiting Zambia to explore new opportunities for international cooperation and industrial development.
During the visit, the delegation was warmly received by Mr. Wang Sheng, Counsellor of the Chinese Embassy in Zambia, with Ms. Han Xinlu, Second Secretary of the Economic and Commercial Office, also in attendance. Both sides engaged in in-depth and constructive discussions on China–Zambia economic and trade cooperation, investment policies, and key sectors for collaboration.
This visit aimed to establish an efficient communication platform and promote practical cooperation. The delegation focused on three main objectives:
- To gain first-hand insights into Zambia’s latest investment policies and market opportunities through direct engagement with embassy officials;
- To facilitate efficient connections with local government bodies and business institutions via embassy channels;
- To leverage the Chamber’s role as a bridge, integrating industrial resources from Shandong and Jiangsu, and fostering mutually beneficial partnerships with Zambia.
The visit marks a significant step in advancing the Chamber’s international industrial layout. Delegation members recognized Zambia as a market with a favorable investment environment and strong development potential, aligning well with both national development strategies and the transformation goals of participating enterprises.
Discussions and project planning focused on three key sectors: new energy, transportation and supporting services, and the construction materials supply chain, including aggregates and mineral resources. These initiatives are closely aligned with Zambia’s priority investment areas and industrial development needs, aiming to support sustainable economic growth while strengthening China–Zambia economic ties.
As a stainless steel solutions provider with integrated capabilities in processing, manufacturing, and global supply, Zhaotai sees strong potential in contributing to infrastructure development and industrial upgrading in emerging markets. Through active participation in international cooperation initiatives, Zhaotai continues to expand its global footprint and strengthen its role as a reliable partner in the international stainless steel supply chain.
